Miami Tropical Marathon 2005 - The Full Story continued...

I was hoping not to be attacked by any angry mob, one runner joking made a remark they don’t like you here but you guys sponsor so many Olympic athletes and do so much for disasters here. I replied to him that you cannot win all; he just smiled and passed by.
Along miles 16-19 the roads were grated to be re-surface, this put and enormous shock on my left thigh muscle, I was not about to stop pass 18 miles "THE WALL  so I kept pushing then going into mile 19 I saw fazal having a hard time ,I knew that he was in pain, I just stayed behind him until we got out of the rough roads, the at mile 20 I passed him and just kept pushing but my kegs had enough with those rough roads and brides. At mile 23 I stopped and decided to walk and stretch my muscle, not soon after fazal passed me and we saluted and I wish him well, "need to stretch I shouted to him  and off he went. After I stopped and was walking between mile 23-24 this guy was walking with his son and he was asking if I was ok,we talked for a while I they he told me that he was from Trinidad so we talked for a while and then I told him I an going to start back running so he wished me well. 2.6miles to go and off I went trying to redeem myself and not finish worst than NYC 3:58:41 chip time, I struggled a while but then this other runner came along side me and I got a really good stride and he started pulling me, I passed Fazal just after mile 25 and was going guns it’s was all out flat, I was giving everything I had. Approaching mile 26 I saw a funny turn along the route, hell no it was another bridge to the finish line I just gave everything I had but my legs was fading as I started climbing the bridge, I got over the top and made a sharp right turn and saw the 26 mile marker, thank god I said to myself and made another spring to the finished giving (hi-fives) to kids along the route, my calf started to pull just at the finished so I slowed and finished in 3:46:91 chip time, Fazal followed through in 3:52:45 not to bad for a tough winter marathon.
At the finish line the refreshments was good and there was enough supplies, the finishers medal was the best design medal I have ever receive to add to my collection. Well we called Kenny and he was somewhere with sabita driving around and he said that he would be here soon, Kenny called he was lost again driving all over Miami, he and sabita need to install Map Quest in every car they have ha-ha!! , eventually they arrive and we went to Joys for doubles. "The Indian in we  ha-ha!!
