Delhi To Host Marathon
The international Delhi marathon is set for dec 04th 2005, project director Manzar khan is pleased that this race will join other big races like Mumbai and Bangalore, although some technical detail still needs to be worked out with the athletic federation of India the race is already drawing attention from big name running nations. Some top marathoners from Kenya, Tanzania and Ethopia are already in the chase for USD$55,000 in prize money and some local and national incentives is USD $5000 to the top Indian runner to finish the race. The race will also pay tribute to the late national record holder Shivnath singh and proceeds from this race will benefit the Rajiv Ghandi foundation. Good luck to them and we wish them well.
